It saves them from attracting stains, spills, scratches, and dust. Generally, you may sweep and mop your porcelain tile flooring daily. But, this is not enough to remove different stubborn stains or spots formed on it. So, here are the steps on how to clean porcelain tile floor at home easily.

Easy Steps To Clean Porcelain Tile Floor

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum cleaner
  • Mop
  • Dish soap
  • Vinegar
  • Baking soda

Steps:

For Unglazed Porcelain Tiles:

  1. Take 1 gallon of warm water and add a few drops of dishwashing soap in it. As porcelain tile flooring can easily penetrate water in it, so don’t saturate it more. So, after scrubbing with detergent solution, dry the tiles immediately with a sponge or mop.
  2. If your porcelain tiles are unglazed, then use an acrylic stone sealer for a good cleaning to it. Add 1 cup of sealer to 3 gallons of water and then rinse the tiles with this solution.
  3. To clean the grout lines, use equal parts of baking soda and water in a bowl. Then, scrub the grout by applying this baking soda paste using a brush.

For Glazed Porcelain Tiles:

  1. First, sweep or vacuum the glazed porcelain tile floor properly to remove all the loose dust and stains from it.
  2. Mop the flooring once and wipe the light stains with a cloth.
  3. Take a diluted vinegar solution with water or any commercial tile cleaner in 1:1 proportion. Then, scrub the hard stains with these solutions with a brush.
  4. Rinse with water after sometime and dry the tile floors properly.
